Echium Candicans, St Marys, Isles of Schilly

An original acrylic painting by Cornish Artist Lindsey Keates.  This painting captures the Echium Candicans beautifully, showing them in the foreground in this landscape and with far reaching views across the island.

Measurements - 25 x 30 cm.

The plants are bushy biennial sub-shrubs with grey-hairy lance-shaped leaves and dense terminal spike-like panicles of white, pale or deep blue flowers in spring and summer

St. Mary’s is the Isles of Scilly’s largest island and the gateway to the rest of the islands. Covering an area less than 2.5 square miles, it’s still not exactly bustling but with its air and sea links, it’s more than likely to be your first port of call when you visit.

If there is a particular Cornish scene you would like, please contact Lindsey as her stock is always expanding, it may not be listed on this website.
